At this week’s meeting, we were pleased to present to Ruth Morse, CEO of the Well Foundation, funds raised from the annual Drive 4 Life Charity Golf Tournament. Ruth acknowledged the outstanding work of the Golf Committee and the generous contributions of members through prizes, raffles, and participation, noting the significant impact these efforts have on patient care at the local hospital.
The funds raised from last year’s tournament are helping to purchase a specialised ultrasound training mannequin valued at $125,000, which will be used by midwives, nurses, obstetricians, and gynaecologists to enhance vital clinical skills. Ruth also reflected on the previous year’s project, which funded upgraded ventilators to safely transport critically ill children between hospitals. She looks forward to welcoming Rotary members to a future ultrasound training session and thanked the club once again for its valued 25 year partnership.
