Each year, North Shore Rotary’s Changeover Evening provides a special opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the past 12 months, thank those who have contributed to the club’s success, and look ahead to the year to come. Members, partners and Rotary guests gathered for an enjoyable evening of fellowship as President Kerryanne reflected on a year of outstanding service under the theme Unite for Good. From supporting young people through leadership and educational programmes, to raising almost $50,000 through two golf tournaments, contributing hundreds of volunteer hours across community and environmental projects, and strengthening both local and international partnerships, the year was a testament to the dedication and generosity of our members.
While the evening celebrated the achievements of Kerryanne’s first year as President, it also marked the beginning of her second year of leadership. Members took the opportunity to thank Kerryanne for her dedication, vision and service, and to acknowledge the exciting year ahead under her continued guidance. The evening also recognised President Elect Lucy, who is preparing to lead the club in 2027–2028. Lucy joined Rotary in 2020 and brings a wealth of fundraising and marketing experience to the role. Originally from Greece, she now runs a fundraising consultancy in New Zealand and is passionate about helping organisations make a positive impact in their communities.
The evening also introduced Rotary International’s theme for the year, Create Lasting Impact. Awards were presented to recognise members who have made outstanding contributions throughout the year, and the evening concluded with a reminder that friendship remains the foundation of Rotary and the key to everything we achieve together. We look forward to another year of service, fellowship and making a difference in our community.
